He added: Considering that the basis of the economy of the northern provinces is based on agriculture, the construction of petrochemicals that supply the raw materials needed by this sector, including urea and chemical fertilizers, can be justified.
The member of the energy commission of the parliament emphasized: by building a petrochemical complex in the northern provinces, in addition to providing the necessities of farmers and economic efficiency; We can exchange and export petrochemical products to the northern countries, including the countries of the Eurasian region and even Russia.
He emphasized: “At present, we have Inchebron Rail in Azad Zone, which in case of setting up a petrochemical complex in Golestan province; To have economic and commercial relations with northern countries and this will lead to transformation in the country’s economy.
Sangdwini pointed out: The important issue in the construction of petrochemical units is to complete the value chain, when the gas feed is given to produce the petrochemical product, the construction license should be given to the units that take steps towards the end of the chain and produce the final product and avoid selling raw materials.
Referring to the implementation of the petrochemical project in Golestan province, he stated: In 2009, the construction of a petrochemical unit for the production of urea and ammonia was started in the Aq Qala region, but due to some legal problems, it remained suspended despite the progress of 15 to 20 percent. Legal and judicial issues have been resolved and the project is about to be implemented.
Pointing out that the implementation of the petrochemical unit will take into account the environmental requirements, this member of parliament said: “Definitely, the northern neighbors need petrochemical products and they will be a good market, besides, we have a rail route in this region that can reach Russia.” And let’s go to China.
